Joseph Alton Dowlearn
SANTA FE - Joseph Alton Dowlearn passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009, at his residence in Santa Fe. He was born to Joseph Antone and Osilene Debord Dowlearn in Lavaca County. Joe was a career truck driver and was especially proud of the fact that he has driven to forty-nine States. Prior to his health failing, he had plans on temporarily moving to Hawaii to fulfill his goal of driving to all fifty States.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, a son Baby boy Dowlearn, brother Clarence Michael Dowlearn and his beloved grandson Curtis Allen Dowlearn who he adored. Joe is survived by his ex-wife and life long friend Marie Dowlearn; sons Tony Dowlearn and wife Wanda of Houston, Michael Dowlearn, Randall Dowlearn, Joseph ‘Jody’ Dowlearn and Raymond Dowlearn all of Santa Fe.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of North Channel, 13817 Force St., Houston, Tx.
